Valparaiso, Indiana! I just got off the phone this morning and it’s official now. Many of you knew that we had been in discussion with Calvary Church of Valparaiso for quite awhile now. The position title is Pastor of Spiritual Formation which  fits with my passions for the church. My main responsibility is to oversee the small group system in the church as well as offering a robust picture of spiritual growth/discipleship to the church at large.

I will offer a few more thoughts later. In the meantime, thank you for your verbal support and prayer-filled support. We have sensed the presence of the Lord throughout this time, leading and guiding us in the decision. As I said to some other friends, we really haven’t had “freak out” moments except for when the classic disco song by Chic blared on the radio! The Lord has been incredibly good to us in this journey.
